The Rural Route Ramble ™

The Rural Route Ramble is a small-town shop-hop through Rural Siouxland highlighting small, rural businesses. This year's 7th Annual Rural Route Ramble ™ will take place on December 4 and 5, 2026. Guaranteed shopping hours for retail vendors are Friday from 10-6 and Saturday from 9-4, coffee shop vendors will be open Friday from 10-1 and Saturday from 9-1, and restaurant vendors will be open Friday from 11-6 and Saturday from 11-4. Vendors may have extended hours beyond the posted hours above but these are guaranteed by the RRR Team. This event is free for shoppers to participate in. Applications to become a vendor on the 7th Annual Official Rural Route Ramble

open August 1st and close October 15th.

This event is designed to promote small, locally owned businesses in NW Iowa and the towns they call home. Businesses include but are not limited to: boutiques, home goods, handmade items, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and pop-up vendors. At this time, we are not accepting consignment shops, MLMs, or franchised businesses. The Rural Route Ramble team is committed to curating a balanced vendor list that speaks to our audience. Unfortunately, not all vendors will be accepted; apply early for your best chance to make the map!

The Official Maps

Each year, our route travels through small towns in Rural Siouxland. The town and vendor list changes with each Ramble. Our goal is to put some gravel in your travel and see the countryside as you ramble from town to town and shop with our vendors. Our route changes slightly each year based on vendor participation. The Official 2026 Rural Route Ramble maps will be launched one week before the event. Follow us on social media for town and vendor updates along the way!
